The Department of Public Works is the largest non-emergency department within the City of Borger. The department oversees all Public Work projects including street construction and repair, solid waste collection and transfer and many other projects.

The Department is organized into 7 sections. The sections include: Street and Alley Maintenance, Refuse Collection, Transfer Station, Vehicle Service Center, Recycling Center, Traffic Engineering, and Parks.
